Never gonna give you up

Over the course of the past month my class has been working on recreating music videos. My group chose Rick Astly's Never Gonna Give You Up music video. In this blog post I will break down the process of the creation of the video. Pre-production Our pre-production was very busy once we picked the song and music video. Ryan was tasked with the story boarding, which is quite a feat considering how many different shots there are. That took close to a week. I did the filmscaping as I was the cinematographer. That took about twenty minutes, I also helped find the props. Alexis was there to tell us what to do, can't exactly remember what her document was that she had to do. Alexis and I then did the casting, which was mostly her friends, I tried to get my amigo Zeph to do it but he was like nope so we cast Nathan as Rick. Typography project (I know its a sequel but they make more money so I added quotes!)

The beginning's beginning When I started this project and was looking at quotes to choose from, I looked to movies, tv shows, and books for quotes that I felt I could relate to. I only was able to decide on 5 quotes because either I could not find one that I really liked or it was not appropriate for school (see: "Don't half *** two things, whole *** one thing" -Ron Swanson). The five that I found were:  “I knew exactly what to do, but in a much more real sense I had no idea what to do.” -Michael Scott, “Not all treasure is silver and gold mate” -Captain Jack Sparrow, “It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live” -Albus Dumbledore, “When I eat, it is the the food that is scared” -Ron Swanson, “Never tell me the odds!” -Han Solo. I ended up not using the meaningful one (Dumbledore's) because I liked the others more.
