My Personality Type
My Personality Type: INFP
So I took the Myers-Briggs personality test and I got INFP. The I stands for Introvert, meaning I am more thought oriented and not nearly as social as one who is an extrovert and I sort of keep to myself so that makes sense. The N stands for iNtuitive which means I see patterns and impressions and I think about the future and possibilities. The F stands for Feeling, this makes sense as before I make a larger decision I think about how another person may feel about like yesterday for example I took the donut my dad wanted even though I thought quite a bit about how he may feel about it. P stands for Perceiving meaning I'm a pretty flexible and adaptive person. I would say this is pretty accurate to be honest. Apparently I share the same personality type as Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and J.K. Rowling, so pretty much my favorite authors which is pretty cool. I also took another quiz called Lion, Otter, Golden Retriever, and Beaver. I turned out to be a Golden Retriever, meaning I am very loyal, do not like big changes and am very caring. I would say that this sounds a bit like me except for one of the weaknesses where it says they are too soft on people, because if somebody truly ticks me off I will go OFF on them and give them the harsh truth.
Question A: Do I think it describes me
I would say it is very accurate. Specifically I, F, and P because I do like being a lone and thinking about many things quite a bit. F is pretty accurate because I do weigh other people's feelings. P is accurate as well because I don't like to judge immediately (except for the Solo: A Star Wars Story which will suck for sure).
Question B: Does this help me understand myself better?
No, not really because I sort of already know how I act and think.
Question C: How Does this affect my role on a team
This would affect me in a group in a way as I am a bit more of an introvert so I would not be as open to socializing. This would mean I would need to get myself out there a bit more instead just keeping to myself more. It especially depends on the role I have though because if the role fits my personality type thats good, if not, then I just need to work extra hard.
Question D: How people understand my personality type
I remember there was a time last year due to me being so introverted my friend's girlfriend thought I hated her, which I didn't. That may be one of the only times I've been pretty misunderstood. One person I have issues with due to personality is usually my brother and my parents because they are all extraverted so they try to get me out there more even though I am perfectly fine doing what I'm doing.
Question E: What Have I learned
I didn't really learn a ton about myself but I found this very interesting. If there was anything I learned its that I think more about other people's feelings when making a decision. I found that fairly interesting along with that I prefer to perceive rather than judge.
