Feature Story

Over the past couple weeks, I was assigned to do a feature story over somebody in the class. To start, we were assigned our partners, we talked for a bit to get to know each other and to find a topic for the interview. Once that was done we started to write our questions (twenty-one were required). Over the course of the writing of the questions, I found that I would have to dig deep with the questions because I found that some questions I was going to ask seemed far too similar to other questions. Once we started filming was when most problems started to occur, most of them involving the camera as either the lighting was off and would not want to be fixed, or we accidentally picked a crappy camera. I learned through this, that sometimes problems would occur and that I would just have to persevere through them. Ince the editing process began, I decided I wanted to do a more entertaining and goofy take on the interview all while staying on topic. That is the second video, the first is the re-edit, with it being the less entertaining of the two videos, but what Mr. Cooper was looking for. If I were to do this again I would definitely try to do a mix of the two tones I had in each video, with it being entertaining but still serious. If I were to do anything the same it would be the sequencing, I feel I did that well. Overall, the project went well, could have been better but it was fine.
